Garden Structures: Raised Beds, Trellises & Season Extenders

with Chad Donovan
2:00 PM - 3:30 PM
$25

Take your garden to the next level — literally! In this hands-on workshop, we'll explore the ins and outs of raised beds, from construction tips to weed prevention and soil health. Learn how to build a cold frame (perfect for an early start on the season) and take part in bending pipes to create sturdy support structures. We’ll also craft a charming willow branch teepee to support flowering vines and assemble a mesh trellis to keep cut flowers thriving. Whether you're looking to boost your harvest, maximize space, or add a touch of personality to your garden, you'll leave with the confidence and know-how to make it happen. The level of hand-on activity will be weather permitting.

Kids Workshop: Building a Trellis

with Susan Lepple
2:00 PM - 3:30 PM
$25

Using gathered wood we will be making a 5-6 foot trellis that can be used up against a wall or can be free standing in the garden. Students will use simple tools like hand saws and drills to help assemble their projects. Each trellis will have a similar base but students will be able to be creative with the inside design making it uniquely their own.

We look forward to seeing you!
